About the game

What is Square on Sale?

Square on Sale combines elements of Othello, an auction game, and Manhattan, an area majority game. Players bid for the right to build stories of buildings on different blocks. However, in a manner very reminiscent of Othello, when you build in two different blocks, you also get to add a floor of your color to the buildings in between. When the game ends, the player who owns the top floor of the building scores all of the points. 1st Place 2005 Hippodice Spieleautorenwettbewerb.
